Welcome to takn. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about our policy or our practices with regard to your personal info, please contact us at hi@takn.co.
When you visit our website or use our mobile application, you trust us with your personal information. We take this trust very seriously. In this privacy policy, we describe our privacy practices. We seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering on the App or Website, expressing an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, or otherwise contacting us.
- Account Credentials: We collect login identifiers (such as email addresses, passwords, or telephone numbers) used to verify identity and allow secure account access.
- Health & Schedule Information: We store details of your medication names, dosages, frequencies, and scheduled times to help manage notifications, logs, and habit streaks.
- Verification Logs (Photos): In order to provide photo-verified accountability, our services process the compliance photos you take (e.g., of a pill in hand or a packet scan). These images are transmitted securely to run computer-verified checks and are shown to your designated caretakers/partners as proof.
- Caregiver/Partner Contact Info: If you elect to add a caregiver or accountability partner to receive updates, we collect their contact information (such as telephone number or email address) to route the notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information collected via our Services for a variety of business purposes described below:
- To facilitate account creation and logon processes.
- To send automated notifications (push notifications or SMS) for medication reminders.
- To process and evaluate verification photos to confirm medication adherence.
- To deliver silent updates to designated caregivers or partners when you fail or complete a dose.
- To calculate adherence metrics, consistency streaks, and progress reports.
3. Sharing of Information
We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.
Specifically: Your medication adherence logs and verification photos are shared exclusively with the partners or caregivers that you explicitly configure and authorize in the settings of the App. We do not sell your health metadata, personal details, or verification photos to advertising networks or third-party brokers.
4. Data Security & Storage
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. All verification images and communication channels are encrypted in transit and at rest.
Please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You have the right to access, update, or delete your account information at any time. You can deactivate or delete your account:
